Accessibility
QueerScore is built on the understanding that queer art should be for everyone.
We’ve only partnered with accessible venues, all close to lift-accessible stations, and we’re working with community groups to make sure flexibly priced tickets are available to those who might otherwise be excluded.
Access, for us, means creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and fully able to take part.
If you have any other questions please get in touch, our email is queerscore@gmail.com.

The Albany is located at Douglas Way, Deptford, SE8 4AG. A short walk from several stations with step-free access. It’s about 250 m from Deptford Station, 450 m from New Cross Station and around 700 m from Deptford Bridge Station. All three stations offer lifts for step-free access to their platforms.
If travelling by bus, there are several routes serving the area with stops on New Cross Road and Deptford Church Street, from which it’s an easy walk to the venue.
If you require parking or a drop-off by car or taxi, there is limited disabled parking at the rear of the building, and free Blue-Badge parking is available nearby at a car park on Frankham Street. The nearest drop-off point for taxis or cars is on Idonia Street, about 1 minute from the entrance. -
The Albany is committed to being an inclusive and accessible venue. All spaces within the building that will be used for this event are accessible. Fully accessible toilets are available. Tickets for wheelchair users will be available.
Please note that BULLYACHE includes the use of strobe lighting. Loud music will be present throughout all performances. The café/bar will remain open for the duration of the event and will be available for conversation and drinks between sets. During performances, the café/bar will operate as a lower-sensory space, with standard lighting levels and low-volume ambient music.

The main entrance has an automated door and wide step-free doorway, and once inside, the ground floor (including the reception, main hall floor, bar/foyer and some meeting rooms) is wheelchair-accessible.
There is a lift servicing all floors, so rooms and facilities on upper floors are also reachable by users with mobility needs.
Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor, basement and second floor. Please note that the balcony levels (galleries) are only reachable by stairs, so seating there will not be accessible for wheelchair users. We have allocated some single event tickets on the ground floor which are reserved for those with physical access needs and a companion.
For further accessibility information, please visit the venue’s website or contact them directly via email.

We offer a concession ticket rate and have worked to keep ticket prices as low as possible. We ask that those who are able to afford the full ticket price choose this option, as we are a non-profit festival and all funds are reinvested into the future of the programme. A limited number of further reduced-price tickets will also be released through our partner venues and local community groups. If cost is a barrier to attending for anyone who would like to come, please email us, we will always do what we can to support access.
